As you must be aware, Kodagu (Coorg) district bore the brunt of a punishing monsoon flood in August 2018. We did take a step back for a bit to hand - hold and help the many who were set back by this unforeseen event. However,we were fortunate by the grace of God to have been spared from any damage to our properties and around. Our homestay has remained open to our guests who still frequent us for the easily accessible location, yummy food, home-made wines, spectacular treks and the total privacy that we offer. We remember the good times when you were here and do look forward to hosting you and your family and friends again. GREEN PASTURES is an eco-friendly homestay nestled in the heart of the Western Ghats in Coorg District, wrapped in the lush abundance of tropical rain forest and Coffee plantations. An idyllic destination, Coorg is a quaint hill district in Southern Karnataka. It is a region of immense beauty and breathtaking scenery. The majestic landscape is strewn with ridges, dense tropical forests, waterfalls, Coffee plantations and mountain streams, with trekking trails snaking through the forests. It’s a discreet hill station set along the higher slopes of the Western Ghats Biosphere. The region is a part of UNESCO world heritage site (World network of Biosphere reserves in India)

Green Pastures is an ideal destination for travelers with interests in trekking and wildlife photography. Basically there are three seasons for travelers with varied interests. Winter (Nov to Feb) with temperature dropping down to 7 degree Celsius, Summer (March to May), when the temperature goes up to a maximum of 28 degree Celsius and the rainy season, when the South west monsoon commences from June through to October with a rainfall of 80 inches per annum.

Places of interest are Nagarahole Wildlife Sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts. Thadiyandamol, the highest peak in Coorg, Pushpagiri Hills and Kotebetta are some of the best places for trekking. Malhalli Falls near Pushpagiri is sight to watch during the Monsoon
